What is epiteloid sarkom?

Epithelioid sarcoma is a rare type of soft tissue tumor that usually occurs in the extremities, especially in the fingers and hands. It is characterized by epithelioid cells, which are abnormal cells that resemble epithelial cells. The exact cause of epithelioid sarcoma is unknown, but it is thought to be related to mutations in certain genes. The symptoms of epithelioid sarcoma include a firm, painless lump or mass, and swelling or stiffness in the affected area. Treatment typically involves surgery to remove the tumor, with or without radiation therapy or chemotherapy. However, epithelioid sarcoma has a high rate of local recurrence and metastasis, which can make it difficult to treat. Prognosis may depend on several factors, including the location and size of the tumor, its histological grade, and whether it has spread to other parts of the body.
